Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years experience leading and driving manufacturing process improvements. Heavy industry experience a plus.
- Prior experience in successful implementation of lean manufacturing/5S and productivity improvement initiatives is required
- Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with excellent strong work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Ability to work with teams and different departments
- Ability to track, chart, and improve processes
- Ability to motivate and organize multiple efforts to accomplish goals
- Able to communicate, verbally and written, with operators, supervisors, maintenance, suppliers, management, and plant support staff
- Able to prioritize, plan and drive issues, tasks, and deliverables from concept to closure
Nice To Haves
- Heavy industry experience a plus.
- Experience in Polymer extrusion, plastic additives, polymer testing, R&D experimentation and analysis is a plus
Responsibilities
- Identify, recommend, and implement process improvement opportunities where applicable
- Drive process improvements based on performance analysis and lessons learned
- Provide technical support regarding plant equipment, process efficiency, and plant wide safety
- Recommend and implement process improvements
- Develop solutions and improvements to equipment and processes
- Responsible for process stabilization and improvement in all shop areas
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering on capital projects and commissioning of new equipment
