Requirements

  • BA or equivalent + 3 years related experience, or MA + 1 year related experience.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, developing, and implementing new or revised production processes for efficient and economical mass production of goods.
  • Designing the arrangement of manufacturing equipment for the most efficient and productive layout.
  • Designing the sequence of production operations and specifying procedures for fabricating tools and equipment.
  • Adapting machinery in response to factory conditions.
  • Conducting tests throughout all stages of production to control variables.
  • Troubleshooting and solving production problems.
  • Providing guidance to product design engineering on technical specifications for optimal equipment and manufacturing techniques.
  • Ensuring production processes and procedures comply with regulations.
  • Managing daily data entry and covering for managers on vacation.
  • Managing crewing schedules and posting.
  • Approving vacations.
  • Coordinating overtime.
  • Coordinating ad hoc labor (e.g., Receiving sheets, Flipping, KBA Feeder coverage).
  • Managing payroll and covering for managers on vacation.
  • Handling Quality NCRs.
  • Ordering supplies and conducting supplier meetings.
  • Performing monthly consignment counting (Coating + Fountain solution).
  • Conducting weekly Preventative Maintenance audits (on Sheeter).
  • Conducting safety investigations (statements, security camera review, reporting, modified duties, etc.).
  • Developing JHAs, Near Miss reporting, Safety contacts, and Hazard Mitigations.
  • Addressing HR issues (harassment claims, discipline, etc.).
  • Conducting monthly toolbox talks for 29 employees.
  • Conducting monthly machine guarding for 3 machines.
  • Managing the Operational Metrics master spreadsheet.
  • Tracking Daily Machine Targets.
  • Compiling data for SLT Meetings.
  • Monitoring Printing Crewing Performance.
  • Compiling graphs and data, and creating presentations for CI Projects Meetings, OpEx Meetings, and other ad hoc meetings.
  • Developing OPLs/SOPs/Videos/Other training material for operators (Docket bag, Packoneer, Tent cards, Outside sheet consumption, etc.).
  • Coordinating Oroville Visits and PDCA.
  • Updating targets on Sheeting, Printing, and Cutting machine whiteboards (on hold).
  • Managing the MR Waste project.
  • Setting up and sustaining waste zones.
  • Calculating non-process waste.
  • Calculating and managing pre-setup waste (core + lapped on Sheeter).
  • Setting up and managing the waste cockpit.
  • Attending Packoneer Meetings.
  • Following all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures related to the production of Safe Quality Foods.
  • Reporting potentially unsafe conditions that could result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF procedures.
  • Participating in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions as required.
  • Following all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
  • Reporting any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority.
