About The Position

Our growing firm is looking for passionate problem-solvers driven to make a real impact: we're hiring a Process Engineer. The Process Engineer is responsible for making sound technical decisions in preparation of drawings, models, calculations, and other project deliverables for industrial, food, chemical, biofuels, and agricultural processing projects throughout North America. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, industrial, or mechanical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project-related process design documents (PFD's, P&ID's, models, drawings, specifications) for process equipment and systems.
• Work under supervision of Project or Senior level engineers for process design-related questions.
• Adhere to and enforce VAA's design standards and quality control processes and requirements. Ensure that prepared documents meet these requirements.
• Assist Project or Senior engineers in preparation technical reports and proposals.
• Assist Project or Senior engineers in maintaining process design-specific project scope, schedules and budgets.
• Communicate and coordinate with other disciplines at VAA and ensure seamless multi-discipline design coordination on VAA's project deliverables.
• Prepare and edit specifications and drawings and ensure high-quality design services to specified VAA/client standards working directly with project team.
• If requested, perform site visits to verify existing conditions and identify engineering and coordination issues.
• Keep project lead engineer informed of project progress, challenges and successes.
• Potential travel 10% to construction job sites.
