About The Position

The Process Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining automated processes and equipment. This role involves leading the development, implementation, and optimization of automated manufacturing processes, including robotics and PLC-controlled systems. The engineer will also design, specify, and deploy automation fixtures, tooling, and custom equipment to enhance safety, quality, throughput, and cost-effectiveness. A key aspect of the role is driving continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven methodologies to eliminate waste and improve process capability. The Process Engineer will support manufacturing operations by troubleshooting automated equipment, reducing downtime, and improving process robustness, while also serving as a technical resource for maintenance teams. Collaboration with Operations Managers and Manufacturing Engineers is essential to align automation solutions with production targets and business priorities. The role also includes leading capital automation projects and developing/tracking key manufacturing and automation performance metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related engineering discipline from an accredited university.
  • At least five (5) years' experience in robotics, automation, or other related position required.
  • Perform tasks with minimal direction.
  • Communicate well verbally and in writing to all levels of the business.
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Power BI.
  • Ability to manage and perform more than on major task simultaneously.
