About The Position

TruCut is seeking an individual to join their Engineering department to help drive strategic growth within the manufacturing industry. This role involves learning the intricacies of low volume manufacturing, developing manufacturing processes for new products, and assisting in continuous process improvement for legacy products. The Process Engineer will also be involved in the estimating process to meet customer demands for quick turn estimates, requiring agility and cross-training. Additionally, they will collaborate with production teams to improve manufacturing processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness, ensuring profitability and meeting customer lead times for new parts and assemblies. This position requires a strong background in MS Office, ERP software, and CAD software, with potential travel to customer facilities a couple of times a year.

Requirements

  • Strong background and working knowledge of all MS Office products.
  • Experience using an ERP software.
  • Experience using CAD software.
  • Proficiency with CAD/CAM software.
  • Willingness to travel a couple of times a year to customer facilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • 3+ years in a Process Engineering capacity.
  • Experience utilizing Offline CNC Programming for punch presses, fiber lasers, and press brakes using CAD/CAM software.
  • Bulk of experience in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop manufacturing processes for new products.
  • Assist in continuous process improvement for legacy products.
  • Become involved with the estimating process to meet customer demands for quick turn estimates.
  • Work with production teams to make necessary changes to improve the manufacturing process for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop processes for onboarding new parts and assemblies to ensure profitability and customer lead-time.
  • Perform offline CNC programming for punch presses and fiber lasers using CAD/CAM software.
  • Conduct flat pattern development, nesting, tooling selection, hit optimization, and revision control for high-mix, low-volume production.
