This is a 2nd shift position(start time between 2pm and 4pm) with flexibility to select a: 4/10(Monday-Thursday) schedule OR a 9/80 with every other Friday off. The Precision Guidance Sensing Solutions (PGSS) Product Line is seeking a uniquely qualified and motivated individual to provide full-time onsite 2nd shift Process Engineering support in a growing factory supporting the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) program. In this role, the process engineer will be responsible for providing support on the production line through work order dispositions in an electronic manufacturing execution system (MES), updating and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs), and implementing continuous improvement ideas.

Requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in process engineering, or a related field, or 2 years of experience with a Master’s degree
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production systems, and quality control
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Electronic manufacturing software experience such as Paperless MES/QMS, Oracle, or TipQA
  • Experience with data analytics and visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, PowerBI)
  • Root cause and corrective action methodology knowledge and experience

Responsibilities

  • Update and maintain SOPs for a defense manufacturing line
  • Disposition work orders/routers using an electronic MES
  • Analyze production data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas for optimization
  • Support continuous improvement projects
