About The Position

The Process Engineer defines optimal molding processes for products and trains technical teams to achieve consistent results. The role is responsible for molding processes and mold-related activities, including mold management, documentation, sampling, process optimization, and mold repair. The position also supports personnel management, technician training, plant safety, and 5S housekeeping.

Requirements

• Minimum of an associate’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Basic knowledge of TS16949 and knowledge of the Quality Policy.

Responsibilities

• Ensure AQP and PPAP requirements are met in accordance with AIAG standards.
• Solve problems using the QPR format.
• Manage all processes and mold-related items.
• Track mold location, cost, preventive maintenance, and quotes.
• Train technicians in mold setup and molding processes.
• Establish and maintain mold documentation.
• Sample new materials and molds.
• Optimize molding processes.
• Define maintenance technician training requirements and provide internal training as needed.
• Repair molds and reduce root causes of failure modes.
• Maintain basic knowledge of TS16949 and know the Quality Policy.
• Follow safety rules and report safety problems and all injuries, regardless of severity.
• Ensure plant safety and 5S housekeeping standards are maintained.
• Manage and direct personnel as required.
• Organize and keep setup information current, including process setup sheets, process validation, and process compliance logs.
