Our Management Consulting Practice is expanding due to client demand, and we are seeking Consultants & Senior Consultants for projects across Canada and the US. We are particularly interested in process engineers for a career in consulting. Our Management Consultants implement sustainable processes and systems to increase refinery margins by 2-3% without capital investment, achieving tens of millions in performance improvements within 6-8 months. We utilize data analytics, industry know-how, and technical experience, having worked in over 40 refineries globally. Our unique improvement approach involves Assessment, Engagement, and Audit phases, offering four core services: Quality Giveaway Reduction, Hydrocarbon Loss Control & Measurement Assurance, Energy Intensity Enhancement, and Value Chain & Supply Optimization.

Requirements

  • Skilled and experienced professionals with a background in either Gasoline Blending, Refinery Energy Efficiency, Energy Conservation, Process Engineering &/or Value Chain Optimization.
  • Bachelor’s/Masters degree in Chemical Engineering, Petrochemicals or similar.
  • Proven experience in the Oil & Gas industry with 3-25 years’+ experience in any of the following: managing or improving plant energy efficiency, process plant optimization and gasoline blending, processes improvement methodologies, Energy Intensity Index (EII), Linear Programming, feedstock selection, product mix optimization, sensitivity analyses & unit mass balance programs, preventative maintenance or continuous improvement.
  • Working knowledge in tools such as Aveva PROII, Aspen HYSYS, SagePlus, etc.
  • Advanced proficiency in data mining and data analysis skills in Excel.
  • Ability to travel to Refinery client sites.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in any of the following: Process Analysis/ Observations, Data Scrubbing, MOS Critiques, Dashboard Developments, Behavioral Assessments, Area Profiles, Audits, KPI Grids, RACI Charts is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Implement sustainable processes and systems to increase refinery margins.
  • Achieve performance improvements within a short timeframe.
  • Utilize data analytics, industry know-how, and technical experience to implement improvements.
  • Conduct Assessment, Engagement, and Audit phases of client interactions.
  • Provide services in Quality Giveaway Reduction, Hydrocarbon Loss Control & Measurement Assurance, Energy Intensity Enhancement, and Value Chain & Supply Optimization.
  • Travel to Refinery client sites, working onsite most of the week.
