About The Position

Iron Mountain Asset Lifecycle Management (ALM) is seeking an experienced, hands-on Process Engineer to evaluate, standardize, and optimize operational workflows across multiple facilities. The role supports IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) operations spanning receiving, sorting, testing, data sanitization, refurbishment, and shipping. Working directly with floor teams, the Process Engineer identifies root causes of process gaps, eliminates waste, and implements practical solutions to improve productivity, ergonomics, and quality. The role involves visiting facilities, observing frontline workflows, and working with operators and site leaders to address differences between actual work and standard procedures. It applies Lean methods to streamline operations, develops and documents standardized workflows, analyzes capacity and operating metrics, and improves workstations, tooling, ergonomics, and asset-tracking processes. Regular domestic travel and occasional international travel are expected. The posting identifies the role as remote.

Responsibilities

  • Visit facilities, observe frontline workflows, and partner with operators and site leaders to identify discrepancies between actual work and standard procedures.
  • Map material and information flows, analyze bottlenecks and rework queues, and apply Lean methodologies to address root causes and streamline operations.

  • Conduct time and motion studies to assess cycle times, labor utilization, and throughput; track KPIs including first-pass yield, processing time, and unit processing costs.
  • Optimize floor layouts, tooling, and ergonomics to reduce motion waste and fatigue.
  • Collaborate with IT and Operations to streamline serialized asset tracking and data entry.
  • Train and influence multi-site teams and provide project leadership.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and benefits packages aligned with experience level.
