About The Position

The Process Engineer is responsible for leading and/or supporting new process development and process kaizen/optimization in the areas of material storage and conveyance, inventory management, and transportation. This role also involves space planning, capacity enhancements, facility layout, and capital improvement projects. A key aspect of this position is the evaluation and introduction of innovative technologies such as automated guided vehicles (AGV), autonomous mobile robots (AMR), and automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS) to improve labor and space efficiency.

Requirements

  • Ability to effectively communicate in written and oral format.
  • Ability to present improvement ideas to both internal and external organizations.
  • Ability to negotiate with multiple parties internally and externally regarding QCDSME of the projects.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of current and future logistics processes.
  • Identify cost-reduction or process-improvement opportunities within the logistics organization.
  • Evaluate innovative technologies such as automated guided vehicles (AGV), autonomous mobile robots (AMR), and automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS) to improve labor and space efficiency.
  • Assess the environmental impact and/or energy efficiency of logistics activities.
  • Ability to identify and judge process improvement opportunities and make decisions on the most suitable improvement idea.
  • Ability to judge the cost-effectiveness of implementation of automated devices in terms of ROI in such as manhour, utilities, environmental impacts, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and introduce innovative technologies like AGVs, AMRs, and ASRS.
  • Assess the environmental impact and energy efficiency of logistics activities.
  • Design, maintain, and optimize warehouse facility layouts.
  • Develop specifications, installation, and training plans for new equipment and material-handling systems.
  • Coordinate project activities with other departments such as Production, Facilities, Engineering, and SHE.
  • Collaborate and align locally and globally with relevant teams.
