This role assists with planning and designing manufacturing processes in an industrial plant. The Process Engineer offers suggestions to improve production methods, determine manufacturing capacity, and set up production schedules. They will design, fabricate, modify, and evaluate manufacturing processes such as machining, metal forming, plastics processing, welding and brazing, assembly, and material handling. This position may also assist with time and cost estimates, implement approved process improvements to meet quality standards, perform feasibility studies, and help solve manufacturing problems. The role involves creating necessary documentation, aiding in communication to personnel, and studying and making recommendations for manufacturing facility layout regarding sequence of operations, equipment layout and utilization, and other related items. Additionally, the Process Engineer researches new manufacturing methods, equipment, and technologies, ensuring that the organization's processes and equipment comply with all safety laws and regulations. They will compose test and technical reports, deliver simple or routine presentations, and may provide work instructions to technicians. Other duties as assigned.
