About The Position

The Process Engineer joins the Process Engineering Team at SEL’s printed circuit board factory in Moscow, Idaho, supporting production with a focus on mechanical processes. The position offers hands-on learning and technical support across printed circuit board fabrication disciplines, with opportunities to innovate and work with complex manufacturing processes. The opening is at the Process Engineer level and welcomes applicants with a range of experience; applicants may be considered for a different level based on their background.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of mechanical processes, such as CNC operations.
• Effective writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support in multiple areas of manufacturing.
• Specify, develop, justify, document, implement, and sustain assembly processes, equipment, and materials.
• Improve process quality, efficiency, and capacity.
• Evaluate new equipment and processes for qualification.
• Investigate manufacturing challenges and recommend solutions.
• Develop and/or conduct experiments to identify root causes of problems and evaluate process capabilities.
• Apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
• Train technical and non-technical staff.
