About The Position

Shaw Industries is looking for a Process Engineer to assist the Precoat Department Manager in achieving excellent performance in safety, quality, efficiency, productivity, waste, and cost while ensuring compliance with all company, plant, and departmental guidelines and procedures. Requirements

  • 4-year engineering degree is required.
  • Must be able to work on all three shifts as required.
  • Strong communication (written and oral) and project management skills.
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and execute actions that ensure departmental Safety, Quality, Productivity, Waste & Cost objectives are achieved and maintained.
  • Provide technical assistance to the Department Manager, Team Managers, Reliability Technicians, Associates, and Internal Customers.
  • Responsible for managing maintenance and capital projects, driving TPM initiatives, cost improvements, and LOTO procedures for the department.
  • Lead and manage Intern(s), OMT(s), and Process Technician(s) as needed.
  • Facilitate employee engagement within the department through managing the “Bright Idea” System, and participating in Round Table Meetings, Quality Meetings, and Team Accountability Meetings.
  • Understand and Support all SAFE, SMS, TPM, Lean Six Sigma & Environmental Efforts within the department.
  • Assist in developing and implementing plans to improve these areas where performance is under goal.
