Process Engineer (2nd shift)

We are seeking a Process Engineer to support the ramp-up of production on our 2nd shift. This role is critical in ensuring manufacturing processes are efficient, scalable, and capable of meeting increased demand while maintaining high quality standards. You’ll work cross-functionally with production, quality, and design teams to implement, stabilize, and continuously improve manufacturing processes in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with 2+ years of experience, OR Associate degree with 4+ years of experience, OR High school diploma with 6+ years of relevant manufacturing experience
- Experience in electronics or electromechanical manufacturing required
- Experience working in a regulated quality environment (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or AS9100 preferred)
- Knowledge of circuit card assembly (CCA) processes
- Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and Design of Experiments (DOE)
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills
- Ability to analyze data and present findings using charts/graphs
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking abilities
- Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization
Responsibilities
- Support the launch and ramp-up of production on 2nd shift by establishing and optimizing manufacturing processes
- Develop and maintain assembly instructions, process documentation, and workmanship standards
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, productivity, and cost efficiency
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for manufacturing issues (process, equipment, or programming)
- Collaborate with production planning to ensure all jobs have proper documentation, tooling, and programming ready for execution
- Provide and analyze manufacturing data to track performance against production targets
- Partner with Design Engineering on DFX initiatives: Design for Manufacturability (DFM) Design for Assembly (DFA) Design for Cost and Test
- Support supplier interactions related to manufacturing processes and improvements
- Research and recommend new technologies and equipment to increase capacity and efficiency
- Assist with programming manufacturing and inspection equipment
- Ensure adherence to company quality systems and team member standards
