The Process Engineer Lead owns the design, development, and execution of complex operational processes aligned with organizational strategy. The role conducts advanced modeling, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to identify constraints and implement impactful process improvements. The position oversees large-scale projects, mentors senior engineers, and drives innovation through emerging technologies and best practices. The role also ensures compliance with safety and industry standards while delivering measurable improvements in service, cost, and operational performance. This position requires onsite presence three days per week at either the Minooka, IL, Patterson, CA, Los Angeles, CA or Portland, Oregon Distribution Centers. Peak periods of the year require as high as 75% travel.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree Operations Management, Engineering or equivalent STEM field. required
- 5+ years Process engineering with a proven track record of managing complex projects & leading process improvements.
- In-depth knowledge of advanced process design, optimization, and troubleshooting techniques (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma).
- Strong project management and mentoring skills.
- Proficiency in CAD, Visio, Smartsheet, & MS Office Suite.
- Experience with the design & implementation of automation solutions, such as conveyors, sorters, packaging lines, and robotic work cells.
Nice To Haves
- Master's Degree preferred
- SQL, Python, Java, or Scala preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred
