About The Position

Elevate is seeking a Process Engineer Intern for Summer 2026 who are passionate about sustainability, driven by curiosity and keen to grow, learn, develop and thrive in our high-performance culture. This opportunity will be a paid internship beginning in June of 2026 and running through August. The offered pay is $22 per hour and the schedule will be Monday through Friday 7am-3pm.

Requirements

  • Students who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate program majoring in Engineering (all disciplines are encouraged to apply, preferably Chemical & Industrial)
  • Strong academic performance.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.
  • Able to analyze data in order to make relevant project decisions.
  • Team oriented and able to work with all levels of the organization.
  • Willing to spend time out in the field getting to know the business firsthand.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Engineering and R&D to launch new products on new equipment, using our NPD (New Product Development) process.
  • Evaluate raw materials to ensure no process upsets while running material in our equipment.
  • Collaborate with Operations, R&D and other relevant departments to ensure that project critical objectives are completed in a timely manner.
  • Evaluate extrusion equipment to make data-driven decisions to improve operation.
  • Lead a process improvement project, from idea creation to implementation, using the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) framework.
  • Audit documentation to ensure the process is operating as recommended. Make recommendations, if needed.
  • Conclude your internship with a presentation to executive leadership, showcasing your learnings and contributions.
