Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
  • Registered as an EIT or eligible for registration with a provincial engineering association.
  • Strong foundation in process engineering fundamentals including mass and energy balances, fluid flow, heat transfer, and equipment design.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical standards, and operating data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated organization and attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering quality work.
  • Commitment to health, safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous learning.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with process simulation software such as Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, ChemCAD, or similar tools is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of process engineering deliverables including process simulations, equipment sizing calculations, line sizing calculations, and technical reports.
  • Contribute to the preparation and review of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), equipment data sheets, and instrument specifications.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver innovative, practical, and client-focused solutions.
  • Assist in process studies, debottlenecking assessments, optimization initiatives, and feasibility evaluations for industrial facilities.
  • Apply engineering principles to improve safety, reliability, operability, and environmental performance across projects.
  • Participate in design reviews, technical workshops, and project meetings while building confidence in presenting engineering recommendations.
  • Support project delivery with a focus on quality, schedule, budget, and continuous improvement.
