About The Position

Bosch is seeking a process engineer and technical expert in image processing and vision systems to optimize and troubleshoot automated processes in a manufacturing plant. The role focuses on quality control, reducing cycle times, and improving manufacturing yields. The position owns existing plant vision systems, including Cognex, Halcon, NeuroCheck, and Keyence, and also contributes to the Bosch Center of Competency and International Production Network. The engineer specifies, validates, debugs, and improves machine vision systems, sensors, cameras, and lighting for automated assembly defect inspection. Using data-driven methods, the role addresses complex production issues, bottlenecks, and false rejects, while improving overall equipment effectiveness. It also leads process and technology development, equipment upgrades, and improvement projects; manages critical process parameters and vision system programs; collaborates with internal and external partners; communicates with lead plants and expert teams; and mentors and trains associates. The qualified applicant must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a similar field, at least three years of experience in automated industrial manufacturing, and experience with image processing, vision systems, and creating vision system programs. The role requires effective communication, a structured and adaptable work approach, comfort with cross-functional and international teams, and willingness and ability to travel internationally. Bosch offers competitive compensation and benefits, including paid time off and holidays, parental leave, retirement benefits, profit-sharing bonus, medical, dental, and vision coverage, onsite amenities, and employee discounts. Applicants must be indefinitely authorized to work in the U.S.; future work authorization sponsorship is unavailable.
