About The Position

Under the direction of the Manager of Process Engineering, the Process Engineer – Level II is responsible for developing solutions to production problems relating to safety, processes and tooling. The incumbent supports new programs by developing manufacturing processes.

Requirements

Must be able to comply with ITAR and EAR residency requirements
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and fluent in English.
Must have strong analytical/problem solving skills.
Knowledge of manufacturing and machining practices, mechanical design, finite element analysis, strength of materials and failure modes required.
Must be able to read blueprints and prepare drawings and layouts.
Ability to complete product definition, including geometric dimensioning and tolerance.
Experience in designing mechanical components, fixtures and tooling.
Computer skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint,).
3D CAD experience (CATIA is preferred).
Physical requirements (be able to lift 50 lbs., bend, climb, etc.).

Responsibilities

Demonstrate importance of the Weber Metals Safety Policy to the success of Weber Metals.
Demonstrate importance of the Weber Metals Quality Policy to the success of Weber Metals.
Demonstrate knowledge and awareness of the Weber Metals Environmental Policy.
Demonstrate knowledge and awareness of the Weber Metals Business Management System.
Work in a team environment to meet target dates.
Coordinates manufacturing processes in the factory/Hand and Die forging processes.
Develops, evaluates and improves manufacturing methods.
With minimal supervision, collaborates with other departments within Weber Metals Engineering to ensure successful: Product design, Forging materials, Fabrication processes, Tooling and production equipment capabilities, Assembly methods for dies, clamp systems and holders, and Quality control standards.
Applies statistical methods to drive process and product improvements.
Analyzes, designs, and plans: Workspace requirements, Workflow, Equipment layout, Maximize efficiency, Provide information for management decisions, Estimate production times, and Staffing requirements and related costs.
Advises Methods Tech’s and Process Engineer I employees regarding departmental practices.
Directly contacts and coordinates with outside vendors for requirements such as equipment, materials and parts and verifying product specifications.
Other duties as assigned.
