About The Position

The Process Engineer I plays a key role in improving operational efficiency by supporting capital and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is responsible for developing and implementing standard processing procedures to optimize plant performance.

Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
• Must have a bachelor's degree or higher or at least four (4) years of work experience in engineering
• Must have at least one (1) year of work experience in a manufacturing, distribution, operations function or have completed a Sherwin-Williams Development Program in an Engineering function or repeat Co-Op programs

Nice To Haves

• Have completed formal training in and/or have at least one (1) year of work experience applying continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, Transactional Lean, etc.
• Have a bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering
• Have at least two (2) years of work experience in a manufacturing and/or distribution facility

Responsibilities

• Manage procedural changes or process modifications, and establish operating procedures for the plant to attain lower manufacturing costs, increased productivity, and reduced cycle times
• Design, run, test and upgrade systems, and assess processes
• Develop routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output
• Conduct safety assessments to ensure safe practices
• Improve and create process documentation, training, and standard operating procedures
• Lead tactical site-level projects and contribute to regional and divisional projects
• Support the process procedures by partnering with operating employees in various departments to collect, analyze, and implement results via training or capital expenditure recommendations
• Oversee contractor partnerships
• Perform general equipment and process troubleshooting to support plant operations
