About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Engineer contractor with expertise, preferable knowledge in validations in a medical devices environment. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and improve manufacturing processes. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role. The role is for an entry-level individual contributor on a project or work team, working with close supervision. The majority of time is spent delivering R&D, systems or initiatives related to new technologies or therapies – from design to implementation - while adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills. This role identifies, defines and addresses problems that are not immediately evident but typically not difficult or complex, and makes minor changes in systems and processes to solve problems. Communication is primarily with internal contacts within the immediate group, contacting others to gather, confirm and convey information. This job at this level is focused on self-development.

Responsibilities

• Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality standards and protocol for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product.
• Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
• Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
• Designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
• Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
• May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.
• Formulates, delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results.
