About The Position

As a Process Engineer at Baxter Healthcare Corporation, you will play a pivotal role in our Injection Molding and Devices operations. This is an outstanding opportunity to be at the forefront of continuous improvement, new business initiatives, and capacity expansion projects. Your contributions will ensure the flawless execution of manufacturing equipment reliability and process support work within our innovative cleanroom environment. You will be part of a cross-functional team that manages ambitious projects and drives world-class performance! Initial project work involves installing and bringing into operation new automated device assembly machines, altering cleanroom environments, and validating new molds and assembly equipment. You will support the Project Manager in planning, monitoring, and purchasing to successfully carry out these initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Computer Engineering preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years in Engineering or Manufacturing is required; experience in FDA manufacturing is helpful.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience with automation controls, automated assembly, control systems, PLCs, HMIs, servos, and vision inspection systems.
  • Proficiency in software used to build models (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is preferred.
  • Six Sigma Master Black Belt Certification or industry-standard equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience in plastic injection molding is advantageous.
  • Project Management skills and experience, including familiarity with Microsoft Project, are a plus.
  • Experience and skills in Lean Manufacturing are helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Build and modify precision assembly and/or manufacturing equipment.
  • Manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
  • Prepare accurate estimates for various tasks and projects.
  • Coordinate capital projects, directly and through coordinating engineers.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities across the department.
  • Collaborate with plant and corporate groups, contractors, and vendors.
  • Coordinate the initiation, troubleshooting, and commissioning phases for new manufacturing processes.
  • Manage equipment life cycle processes such as upgrades, replacement, and decommissioning.
  • Perform product life cycle management tasks, including build changes, material changes, Supplier Notice of Change (SNC) assessments, and specification changes.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting to all plant departments.
  • Demonstrate proactive communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Support and achieve Value Improvement Projects (VIPs).
  • Adhere to FDA Design Control standards and maintain all department operational guidelines.
  • Generate technical documents, reports, equipment specifications, and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
