MilliporeSigma is looking for a Process Development Scientist to join the technical branch of the commercial organization in the Midwest. This role supports process development and manufacturing sciences activities and is part of a worldwide team of engineers and scientists reporting into the technical support group for MilliporeSigma’s Process Solutions business. The position will involve leading development studies for purification of therapeutic proteins using MilliporeSigma technologies, including sterile filtration, depth filtration, tangential flow filtration, viral reduction filtration, and chromatography. The scientist will be involved in selection/sizing, process optimization, and tech transfer for purification of new pharmaceuticals, focused on Phase I–III development. Responsibilities include providing customer consultations via email, telephone, or video, collaborating with customer process development groups in the Central United States, and partnering with local MilliporeSigma account managers to deliver technical expertise. The role also supports clinical and commercial scale implementations using sound engineering principles, including identifying CQAs and maintaining critical control parameters. Customer interfacing activities will be documented in electronic systems, and the scientist will be expected to propose new technical ideas for the broader group and contribute to cross-functional strategy execution. This position will include travel of up to 30% within the North America region.
