About The Position

Join Dexcom’s Product Development organization, which drives innovation in continuous glucose monitoring through advanced materials, process engineering, and device design. Within design realization, this role translates early concepts into robust, scalable manufacturing processes while building foundational capability in Product & Process Excellence (PPx).

The Process Development Engineer executes process development experiments and characterization studies; supports precision processes for adhesives, epoxies, and soft materials; and uses structured experimental methods such as design of experiments (DOE). The role analyzes and documents results, contributes to process definitions and performance metrics under guidance, supports QMS- and PDP-compliant documentation, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to execute development plans and improve process robustness and repeatability.

Dexcom is a global continuous glucose monitoring company focused on improving health through biosensing technology. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 2–5 years of related experience, or a master’s degree and 0–2 years of equivalent industry experience. Travel required is 0–5%. The listed salary range is $75,200–$125,300.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 2–5 years of related experience, or a master’s degree and 0–2 years of equivalent industry experience.
• Strong foundation in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to plan and execute experiments with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to apply basic statistical methods and draw clear conclusions from data.
• Curiosity about materials–process–performance relationships.
• Clear written and verbal communication of technical results.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities within a defined scope.
• Ability to collaborate in cross-functional environments and incorporate feedback.
• Growth mindset and willingness to learn new tools and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Execute process development experiments and characterization studies to support product development.
• Support development of precision processes for adhesives, epoxies, and soft materials.
• Follow structured experimental methodologies, such as DOE, to generate data and improve process understanding.
• Analyze and document experimental results, identifying trends and improvement opportunities.
• Contribute to defining process inputs, outputs, and performance metrics under guidance.
• Support QMS- and PDP-compliant documentation, protocols, and reports.
• Collaborate with design, quality, reliability, and manufacturing teams to execute development plans.
• Apply Product & Process Excellence (PPx) tools to improve process robustness and repeatability.
