About The Position

This is a temporary role with a third-party agency partner on assignment at Vertex Pharmaceuticals. The individual selected for this role will be offered the role as an employee of a third-party agency partner. The key responsibilities that the candidate will be focused on include performing routine stem cell isolation processes using an automated cell processing system, supporting the execution of lab-based Process Development activities and experiments, preparing related media and buffers in a sterile aseptic environment, generating samples for analytical assays and coordinating with the Analytical team for timely analysis, maintaining detailed and organized electronic lab notebooks to document lab activities, writing reports summarizing procedures, experiments, and data, and presenting experiment design, data, and updates internally to the team. The role requires strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of scientists and engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical sciences
• 0-2+ years of relevant work or lab experience
• Solid foundation in Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ect.)
• Must be able to proactively communicate with the team, be organized, and maintain accurate records.
• Basic experience in statistical analysis, creating graphs, writing protocols and reports and presenting data in scientific manner.

Nice To Haves

• Hands-on experience in aseptic techniques, cell handling, cell culturing, media and buffer preparation is preferrable
• experience with other scientific software such as JMP, GraphPad Prism, etc., are a bonus.
• HSC isolation and culture experience
• Have experiences on Prodigy, Rotea, Electroporation, Cytiva Sefia
• Have experience on data analysis with JMP

Responsibilities
