Process Controls Engineer
About The Position
Implements and executes new programs, including SOR prep, forecasting, controls design, equipment build, and run-off and buy-off. Designs, constructs, integrates, installs, launches, and continuously improves equipment and tools required in plants for the production of high quality parts. Oversees deliveries to program timing milestones working with multiple suppliers. Provides project report outs to senior management. Supports existing programs and sites. Communicates effectively and works collaboratively with all customers and plants. Provides technical direction to less experience controls engineers and suppliers. Designs and troubleshoots electrical control systems. Develops and tests advanced process technology. Hybrid Work Policy – 3 Days In Office, 2 Days Remote – Must be able to report to local office.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Ten (10) years of experience as a Controls Engineer, Field Engineer, or related role
- Five (5) years of experience with: Electrical and control systems in a manufacturing environment
- Five (5) years of experience with: Mechanical concepts, including machine designs and process requirements
- Five (5) years of experience with: PLC and HMI programing, Ethernet, and Devicenet networks
- Five (5) years of experience with: Servo motors, motion control, and drives
- Five (5) years of experience with: Fanuc robots setup and programming
- Five (5) years of experience with: Designing and troubleshooting electrical control systems
- Five (5) years of experience with: Project management
- Five (5) years of experience with: Interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings
- Five (5) years of experience with: Working in a manufacturing environment
- Five (5) years of experience with: Hydraulics and pneumatics
