Process Controls Engineer
About The Position
This role implements and executes new programs, including SOR prep, forecasting, controls design, equipment build, and run-off and buy-off. The engineer will design, construct, integrate, install, launch, and continuously improve equipment and tools required in plants for the production of high quality parts. This position oversees deliveries to program timing milestones working with multiple suppliers and provides project report outs to senior management. The role also supports existing programs and sites, communicates effectively and works collaboratively with all customers and plants, and provides technical direction to less experienced controls engineers and suppliers. The engineer will design and troubleshoot electrical control systems and develop and test advanced process technology. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days in the office and 2 days remote, with the expectation to report to the local office.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Ten (10) years of experience as a Controls Engineer, Field Engineer, or related role
- Five (5) years of experience with Electrical and control systems in a manufacturing environment
- Five (5) years of experience with Mechanical concepts, including machine designs and process requirements
- Five (5) years of experience with PLC and HMI programming, Ethernet, and Devicenet networks
- Five (5) years of experience with Servo motors, motion control, and drives
- Five (5) years of experience with Fanuc robots setup and programming
- Five (5) years of experience designing and troubleshooting electrical control systems
- Five (5) years of experience with Project management
- Five (5) years of experience interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings
- Five (5) years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Five (5) years of experience with Hydraulics and pneumatics
