The role: As a Process Controls Engineer, you will help drive our goals by leading the development and delivery of long-term control system strategies to improve process performance and scalability within the PGMS R&D environment. You will act as technical lead on controls and automation projects, supporting both batch and continuous chemical processes. You will provide expert troubleshooting and technical support for control systems, networks and plant operations. You will also define and implement control and automation standards, ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory and PSM requirements. Additionally, you will identify and deliver improvements to instrumentation, electrical and control system performance, and support OT cybersecurity initiatives and risk assessments to ensure secure and compliant operations.

Requirements

  • Degree in Chemical, Electrical or related engineering discipline with strong industrial experience in process control
  • Proven experience programming Allen Bradley PLCs (PLC5, Micrologix, CompactLogix, ControlLogix) using Rockwell Automation software
  • Experience working with SCADA systems, ideally FactoryTalk View SE
  • Strong understanding of instrumentation, process control systems, and motor control including VFDs
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet, ControlNet and Remote I/O
  • Experience supporting projects and operational troubleshooting within a chemical or process manufacturing environment

Responsibilities
