The Process Control Inspector (PCI) is responsible for assuring the quality of the production process through periodic verification of each work order according to Business Unit (BU) specific inspection planning. This role involves measuring characteristics, documenting results in SAP QM, and preparing parts for inspection. The PCI will validate part compliance with published Quality Alerts and ensure proper communication between the production and quality teams. This position has the authority to stop production if non-conforming parts are being generated or if defined processes are not being followed, and to escalate issues according to the escalation matrix. The PCI will also support the analysis of SPC results for capability studies, escalate findings, and verify improvements. Additionally, the role involves reviewing historical data to identify trends and guide production in initiating improvement activities, monitoring ElringKlinger's quality standards throughout the production process, and protecting the company from customer complaints and associated financial risks. The PCI will also provide parts for specific inspections upon request and perform other duties as assigned.
