About The Position

The COMET contract provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida. These tasks will support the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and the Space Launch System, Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services programs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 15 years of related experience.
  • Must have a valid US Driver's License.
  • Ability to accurately communicate ideas in writing and verbal communication.
  • Must be able to travel to support position requirements.
  • Must comply with all “drug free workplace” requirements.
  • Must maintain a positive work atmosphere.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Root Cause Analysis.
  • Experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action.
  • Experience with Lean Principles.
  • Experience with Auditing.
  • Experience with Data Analysis.
  • Experience with ISO (AS9100) Standard.
  • ASQ Certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring program processes to ensure contractual and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Investigating issues to determine compliance to requirements.
  • Issuing, managing, tracking, and reporting status of Corrective Action Requests.
  • Assisting program teammates with root cause analysis and developing corrective actions.
  • Preparing and reporting metrics to senior leadership.
  • Participating in internal audits, external AS9100 audits, and customer audits.
  • Identifying and controlling non-conformities and enhancing and improving current processes.
  • Driving improvements across the program and participating in problem solving events.
