Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in implementing lean principles in a manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and Lean principles.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with engineering software tools (e.g., CAD, data analysis software).

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the analysis and optimization of manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
  • Confers with management to set continuous improvement goals and objectives
  • Provide support to production teams by troubleshooting equipment issues and recommending solutions to improve operational performance.
  • Develops training materials for lean process training and implementation
  • Provides training and mentoring to employees on lean process implementation
  • Facilitates and leads the continuous improvement process by identifying training needs and providing training in problem solving methodology, Kaizen, 5S, Kanban, Value Stream Mapping, etc.
  • Engages the leadership team in setting and achieving goals utilizing Lean initiatives. This includes working with key leadership both functionally and strategically to drive overall improvements in specific areas.
  • Create metrics, deployment goals, and objectives to drive accountability throughout the organization.
  • Lead the implementation of Lean programs from inception to completion.
  • Provides input and feedback to key leadership positions about process improvement opportunities.
  • Develops workable implementation plans; Communicates changes effectively; Builds commitment and overcomes resistance; Prepares and supports those affected by change; Monitors transition and evaluates results.
  • Help create and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process flows.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design engineering, quality assurance, and production, to ensure smooth integration of new processes and technologies.
  • Collect and analyze production data to identify trends, measure performance, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in training production personnel on new processes, tools, and best practices to ensure consistent adherence to quality standards.
