RCI - Process Automation Specialist
About The Position
This position will help maintain and oversee the performance of our robotic process automation (RPA) infrastructure. Using RCI principles and UiPath’s automation framework, you will translate operational challenges into clearly defined, automation-ready future-state workflows. This is a hands-on role requiring detailed documentation, strong analytical capabilities, and a continuous improvement mindset. As part of the RPA team, you’ll serve as a critical link between business operations to ensure that each automation initiative delivers measurable value and adheres to industry compliance standards. This position will allow for accelerated business changes, providing solutions for business units to automate routine office activities. RPA is a natural extension of the RCI principles and is a key tool in the RCI Toolkit.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Initiative and self-motivation in the planning and execution of responsibilities
- Self-learner with the ability to seek out various instructional methods for ongoing education in Citizen Development and RPA
- Ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders as part of the RPA delivery cycle.
- Proactive problem solver, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with cross functional teams
Nice To Haves
- BS degree in business or technical degree
- Three plus years of experience and understanding of: RCI/LEAN process improvement concepts and practices
- General financial and accounting concepts
- Operational use of, typical business applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Visio, PowerPoint), SharePoint, Business Objects, or similar
- Possess a thorough understanding of the Snap-on and Snap-on Credit business models
Responsibilities
- Support, stabilize, and enhance process automations and upcoming AI-driven processes in Development, Test and Production environments using UiPath Orchestrator (Queues, Jobs, Triggers, Assets, Logs)
- Troubleshoot queue failures, breakdowns, credential issues, and orchestration failures
- Help develop, enhance and design automation workflows with robust exception handling
- Support end-to-end automation lifecycle (development, testing, deployment, production support)
- Implement improvements to increase bot/agent efficiency and reduce failure rates
- Participate in internal change management processes to ensure smooth integration of automated process solutions and ongoing maintenance of automations, based on other system changes, that may impact current automated processes
- Help ensure security, compliance, and audit readiness
- Create and manage clear documentation for all improved automated processes
- Work extensively with: UiPath Orchestrator to manage unattended bots (primary), with exposure to attended bots and Agentic AI Agents
- Expectation for ongoing on-line training, using UiPath Academy, including certifications
- Ability to communicate and articulate automation process development and process changes that are made utilizing UiPath tools and systems
