About The Position

Citizens Financial Group, Inc. (CFG) seeks a Process Automation Senior Developer for its Robotics Process Automation Team. This role involves leading the design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions. The developer will plan, analyze, design, develop, test, and deploy end-to-end automation solutions to optimize processes, improve operational efficiency, and deliver value across consumer, commercial, and private banking business lines. Collaboration with various stakeholders, including Business Improvement Consultants, Business Analysts, and subject-matter experts, is crucial for gathering requirements and defining automation targets. The position requires translating requirements into detailed documentation and developing solutions using UiPath Studio and Orchestrator, built on a custom enterprise framework. Building reusable components, developing Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) solutions, and implementing API integrations are key aspects of the role. The developer will also write custom scripts in C#.NET and VB.NET, participate in solution design reviews, and partner with IT Architects to ensure alignment with enterprise standards. Support for migrating legacy automations from Blue Prism to UiPath, executing various testing phases, and monitoring/maintaining automations post-implementation are also expected. Maintaining comprehensive documentation and contributing to coding standards and best practices are essential. The role utilizes Agile methodologies, including Scrum & Kanban, and tracks work using Jira.

Requirements

At least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or closely related field and 3 years of experience as a Senior Robotic Process Analyst, RPA Developer, or a closely related position involving robotics process automation (RPA).
Designing, developing, testing and implementing applications using RPA Software, including Blue Prism and UiPath
Utilizing programming languages including C#, VB.NET, VBA, Python to build custom code stages and libraries to achieve process automation
Designing and developing components which consume SOAP and REST based APIs
Developing application/automation components including UiPath forms, email libraries, table extraction using scripting languages, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Utilizing SQL queries, stored procedures, databases, including Oracle, and MySQL to store, maintain, and extract business data
Utilizing Blue Prism Control room and UiPath Orchestrator to perform session management, debug process solutions, monitor jobs and work queues
Utilizing OCR (Optical Character Recognition) techniques in UiPath and surface automation in Blue Prism to build automations to extract data from thin client/virtual machine environments and scanned documents
Utilizing intelligent document processing models such as UiPath Document Understanding, Decipher, and Intellidact AI to train models and extract data from documents through Machine Learning algorithms
Utilizing Atlassian tech stacks, including JIRA, Confluence and Bitbucket to plan, assign, track, report, and manage work, review tickets against committed code, and manage repositories
Utilizing issue management and version control systems, including GIT, JIRA, and Service Now
Utilizing CI/CD tools, including Jenkins, to automate build processes and testing, perform continuous integration management, and to manage build results and deployment
Utilizing Bitbucket for source code management
Utilizing Jenkins open-source automation to manage weekly builds, tests, and deploy chains

Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions for the Robotics Process Automation Team.
Plan, analyze, design, develop, test, and deploy end-to-end automation solutions that drive process optimization, operational efficiency, and value delivery across multiple business lines within consumer, commercial and private banking.
Collaborate with Business Improvement Consultants, Business Analysts, and subject-matter experts to gather business and system requirements, understand process maps, and define use cases targeted for automation.
Translate requirements into Process Definition Documents (PDD), Solution Design Documents (SDD), and detailed test scripts using Task Mining, Microsoft Visio, Lucid, and Confluence.
Design and develop automation solutions using UiPath Studio and UiPath Orchestrator, built on a custom enterprise framework based on UiPath's RE-Framework.
Build reusable components, shared libraries, and code templates to enable standardized, scalable automation development across the team.
Develop Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) solutions using UiPath Document Understanding, including document classification, ML-based data extraction, and human-in-the-loop validation workflows.
Implement API integrations within automation workflows, connecting with enterprise systems, RESTful web services, and cloud platforms including Azure Cognitive Services.
Write custom scripts in C#.NET and VB.NET to resolve complex automation logic and extend platform capabilities.
Participate in solution design reviews and tollgate reviews to ensure solutions meet architectural standards, governance requirements, and business needs.
Partner with IT Architects and senior stakeholders to validate alignment with enterprise architecture and security standards.
Support migration of legacy automations from Blue Prism to UiPath, including re-architecture and re-development aligned with the team's custom framework.
Execute unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure quality and completeness prior to production deployment.
Monitor and maintain automation post-implementation, resolve production issues, and ensure smooth business operations using UiPath Orchestrator.
Maintain comprehensive documentation including runbooks, operational procedures, and technical documentation within Confluence.
Contribute to the development and enforcement of coding standards, release frameworks, and testing best practices.
Utilize Agile methodologies, including Scrum & Kanban, and track work using Jira to ensure efficient development, integration, and adoption of RPA solutions.
