About The Position

The Process Automation Engineer identifies, designs, implements, and optimizes business process automation solutions to improve operational efficiency, productivity, accuracy, and service quality across Syfan Logistics. The role works closely with Operations and IT to evaluate existing processes, identify improvement opportunities, and implement AI-driven automation using platforms such as HappyRobot and other approved technologies.

The position involves translating operational requirements into practical automated workflows, coordinating with IT when technical development or system integrations are needed, and continually monitoring and refining solutions. The engineer also documents processes, supports employee training and adoption, and ensures solutions follow company standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or an applicable field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and business process improvement skills.
• Experience with business process automation, workflow design, process optimization, or related operational improvement initiatives.
• Familiarity with AI-driven automation technologies, workflow platforms, and tools such as HappyRobot or similar solutions.
• Ability to analyze operational workflows, identify inefficiencies, and translate business requirements into practical automation solutions.
• Ability to configure, test, troubleshoot, and optimize automated workflows and AI-generated results.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and project coordination skills, including the ability to work effectively across operational and technical teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to emerging technologies, and independently drive process improvement initiatives.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in Lean Six Sigma.
• Experience in logistics, transportation, or with Transportation Management Systems such as McLeod.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate existing business processes and identify inefficiencies, workflow improvements, and automation opportunities.
• Design, configure, implement, and continuously improve automated workflows using HappyRobot and other approved platforms.
• Collaborate with operational leaders and team members to understand challenges, define requirements, and develop practical solutions.
• Translate operational requirements into automation workflows and coordinate with IT on technical development or system integrations.
• Test, monitor, and troubleshoot automated processes to ensure accuracy, reliability, and consistent performance.
• Evaluate and refine AI-generated outputs, prompts, and automated decisions to align with business requirements and customer service standards.
• Monitor automation performance, measure results, and recommend improvements to increase productivity, reduce costs, and enhance service quality.
• Maintain process documentation, support employee training and adoption, and ensure automation solutions comply with company standards.
