Process Attendants are responsible for performing equipment checks and inspections, regular clean-up duties, obtaining required quality control samples, and assisting with troubleshooting process-related problems. These tasks are performed according to a checklist for each respective area, with a completed and signed checklist required for each shift. Process Attendants must also complete and turn in a signed Area Inspection for their work area at the end of their shift. The role requires the ability to work at elevated heights, walk, climb stairs and ladders, shovel, sweep, and communicate with colleagues via radios. Additionally, Process Attendants may be required to operate various equipment and tools as needed, such as electric and pneumatic jackhammers, impacts and hand tools, poke bars and scrapers, air lances, forklifts, and bobcats/skid steers. General tasks include inspecting belt lines, rollers, water and oil flows and levels, bearings, motors, drive belts and chains, hoppers and chutes, ducts, and mechanical linkages, as well as inspecting fire extinguishers and safety equipment.
