About The Position

Be the captain of the Cascade! As a Process Area Manager at Centrus Energy, you’ll lead the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of our UF6 processes—from centrifuge assembly and testing to utilities, storage, and beyond. You’ll guide a team of supervisors, keep plant systems running smoothly, and have the authority to hit pause when safety calls. Step into the heart of Centrus Energy’s operations as a Process Area Manager and take the lead in keeping our Cascade processes safe, compliant, and running at their best. You’ll oversee everything from UF6 receipt, storage, and transport, to centrifuge assembly, testing, and eventual decommissioning—all while making sure plant utilities, facility surveillances, and shift operations stay on track. You’ll direct a talented team of supervisors, guide integrated planning and scheduling, ensure compliance with regulations, and have the authority to stop operations if safety is ever in doubt. In short: you’ll be the go-to leader ensuring our operations run smoothly, safely, and smartly.

Requirements

  • An associate’s degree in Physical Sciences, Engineering, Business, or Project Management (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial, chemical, or nuclear plant operations, maintenance, engineering, or support
  • 1+ year of supervisory experience in a related industry
  • Must possess or obtain and maintain a “Q” Clearance
  • A bachelor’s degree in Physical Sciences or Engineering
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in a related industry
  • Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives or corrective actions
  • A strong sense of accountability for safe operations
  • Strategic planning expertise and sharp business acumen
  • Currently holding an active Q-level security clearance
  • Ability to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Q security clearance.
  • Ability to be tested for the absence of any illegal drug prior to an offer of employment.
  • Ability to participate in a random drug testing program and be tested in the event of any incident causing injury or damage to property, or if there is reasonable suspicion of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  • Ability to undergo a background investigation by the Federal government for a Q security clearance.
  • Ability to undergo subsequent Federal government reinvestigations.
