Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent or 5+ years similar experience.
- Additional education in central services preferred.
- Certification as a Registered Central Services Technician preferred.
- Experience in sterile processing/central service preferred.
Responsibilities
- Processes medical and non-medical supplies used in patient care.
- Duties including decontamination, cleaning, disinfecting, assembly of procedure sets and equipment.
- Wrapping items to be sterilized, and sterilization as policies and procedures indicate.
- Decontaminates, cleans, processes, assembles and sterilizes medical/surgical devices used in patient care.
- Transportation of needed equipment to/from its place of use.
