About The Position

The Procedure Support Tech I performs patient and non-patient support functions under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse. The role carries out self-directed support activities that contribute to the efficiency of the perioperative areas and functions as an integral member of the operating room team. The position helps maintain a safe, professional, respectful, and effective patient care environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Inventory, disassemble, clean, reassemble, and maintain operating room equipment.
• Position patients and prepare them for procedures.
• Assist with case cart preparation when needed.
• Help maintain a clean, sanitary, and orderly procedural environment.
• Transport patients as required.
• Perform patient and non-patient support functions under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse.
