Procedure Room Nurse - RN
About The Position
We are a successful and busy reproductive endocrinology and infertility practice in Charlottesville, Virginia. We pride ourselves on teamwork, quality patient care, and providing a warm and caring environment for our patients. Our team is dedicated to supporting patients through every step of their fertility journey with compassion and clinical excellence. We are seeking a per diem Procedure Room Nurse to serve as a flexible, reliable addition to our clinical team. This role is primarily scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday mornings (7:00 AM - 12:00 PM) and 1-2 weekends per month. The selected candidate will function as a back-up to our primary team, stepping in as primary some days and covering gaps for vacations and sick leave as needed. Please note: while you will be placed on the schedule for your designated days, there will be times when your presence is not required. We value and appreciate a candidate who understands the flexible nature of this role and is comfortable with variability in hours. Typical hours are 8-10 hours per week, with the potential for up to 20 hours per week when covering for vacations or extended absences.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Close attention to detail
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative team player who thrives in a cooperative environment
- Flexible and adaptable with a dependable, on-call mindset
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR)
- Weekend and holiday availability required
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a procedure room, surgical, or clinical setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Scrubbing for procedures
- Providing pre- and post-operative care and discharge instructions
- Inserting IVs
- Circulating and assisting in egg retrievals, embryo transfers, and office-based surgeries
- Collaborating and maintaining cooperative efforts with other team members and departments
- Other duties as assigned
