About The Position

The Procedure Coordinator - Cardiology Services is responsible for coordinating and scheduling patients, inputting pertinent patient data, and updating changes in the system. This role also involves triaging patients for proper placement in procedure rooms, obtaining necessary medical records and labs from referring offices, and communicating directly with appropriate personnel regarding patient status and readiness for procedures. The coordinator will monitor the schedule throughout the day to ensure efficient utilization of procedure rooms and holding areas, and ensure that all rooms are appropriately staffed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must be BLS certified.
  • Fluency in reading, writing and speaking English is essential.
  • Must be able to lift and support 50 pounds in handling medical equipment and supplies.
  • The ability to work in a fast paced office environment.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year billing experience preferred.
  • Cardiology experience and medical terminology preferred.
