About The Position

Aids the physician during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The ideal candidate will have a high school graduate or equivalent education, BLS certification within 1 year, and previous patient care and some medical background experience. This role is part-time and involves assisting physicians and nurses, recognizing risk factors, maintaining equipment and supplies, performing aseptic technique, and adhering to safety guidelines and policies.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
BLS within 1 year.
Previous patient care and some medical background preferred.
Basic aseptic technique.
Follows standard precautions and utilizes disease specific guidelines as per CDC.
Adheres to policies and procedures as it relates to dress attire and universal protocol.

Responsibilities

Under direction of the physician and Registered Nurse assists during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to provide optimal patient outcomes.
Recognizes risk factors and complications related to the procedures.
Competent in all equipment/supplies used for each procedure and able to troubleshoot if any issues.
Maintains all equipment/supplies to include: Prepare/set up for procedures, Cleaning and disinfecting after procedures, Stocking rooms with supplies, Pulling equipment/supplies for upcoming procedures.
Performs basic aseptic technique.
Follows standard precautions and utilizes disease specific guidelines as per CDC.
Adheres to policies and procedures as it relates to dress attire and universal protocol.
Consistently shows good judgement by showing appreciation of cost and quality.
