Logan Health is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Scheduling Specialist to support their integrated Hematology, Oncology & Palliative Medicine Clinic. In this important role, you will help keep care moving seamlessly for patients and providers by coordinating appointments, supporting clinic workflow, and serving as a key connection point across teams. Requirements

  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
  • Knowledge of palliative medicine and related specialties such as hospice and oncology required

Nice To Haves

  • Post-high school education or vocational training in healthcare
  • Experience in healthcare or customer service
  • Ability to accurately type 45 WPM

Responsibilities

  • Schedule appointments for the Palliative Medicine team, supporting Logan Health Medical Center inpatient services, Hospice, and the outpatient clinic
  • Coordinate scheduling needs related to palliative medicine and associated specialties, including hospice and oncology
  • Maintain accurate scheduling, documentation, and communication between patients, providers, and care teams
  • Support efficient clinic flow and provider scheduling
  • Collaborate across teams to maintain accurate records and reduce duplicate patient information
  • Assist with clinic operations in a dynamic environment and provide support wherever needed
