Baylor Scott & White The Heart Hospital - Grapevine is preparing to open its doors in Summer 2026, and we are assembling an elite team of cardiovascular professionals who want more than a job—they want to help define the future of heart care in one of the nation’s fastest growing regions. As a new team member, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping a new, state of the art heart hospital designed with one purpose in mind: delivering world class, patient entered cardiovascular care. In anticipation of our opening, select roles will begin as early as Spring 2026, allowing you to complete comprehensive orientation and training at our nationally recognized Baylor Scott & White Heart Hospitals. This immersive experience ensures you are fully prepared, aligned with our culture, and equipped with the highest standards of clinical excellence before the Grapevine campus opens.

Requirements

  • 5 years of Critical Care, ER experience or CVICU experience required
  • Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or obtain within (30) thirty days of hire or transfer.

Nice To Haves

  • CT experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Work as a licensed professional using the nursing practice model to oversee patient care.
  • Assess patients, identify nursing diagnoses, and develop personalized care plans.
  • Regularly assess patient responses.
  • Contribute to helping patients navigate healthcare safely by understanding their needs and the system to prevent complications and delays.
  • Delegate tasks based on Texas nursing laws, patient conditions, and staff skills.
  • Use careful clinical judgment.
  • Assess patients and prioritize their needs.
  • Create and adjust care plans for better results.
  • Assess nursing practices to ensure quality and effectiveness, which may involve tracking indicators, making changes based on research, and joining quality improvement initiatives.
  • Help teach patients and staff, integrating education into care at all levels.
  • Use strategies and resources to solve problems for patients, families, and staff.
  • Enhance nursing practice and work environment through professionalism.
  • Contribute to decision-making and recognize others' contributions meaningfully.
  • Monitor patients' health and communicate changes efficiently to nursing staff and healthcare providers.
  • Give top-notch, patient-centered care that honors patient diversity, using the nursing process and following nursing standards.
