This role facilitates the needs of the carpet roll shipping, receiving, and inventory areas, and assists Lift Truck Operators with locating inventory. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 6 months of manufacturing experience
• Ability to determine colors and styles against a color guide
• Good understanding of inventory practices
• Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors)
• Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point)
• Ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
• Follows established quality and safety standards

Responsibilities

• Reprint tickets as necessary for Lift Truck Operators.
• Assist Lift Truck Operators with locating inventory.
• Replace malfunctioning RF scan guns on lift trucks.
• Identify rolls with missing Unit ID’s by means of color guide.
• Facilitate placement of trailers at docks.
• Adjust carpet roll inventory when necessary to remove small rolls.
• Work with swatching vendors.
• Work with other internal plants to solve issues.
• May occasionally be called upon to act as a Glue Line Swatcher.
• Perform cleanup area at shift end.
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.
• Follow all established standard operating procedures.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.
