About The Position

Ryder is immediately hiring Warehouse Inventory Clerks/Problem Solver in Port Deposit, Maryland. We want the right Warehouse Associate to join us at Ryder and work in the Safest Supply Chain Environment with State of the Art Equipment. Products Being Handled: Retail Items. Equipment: Ability to Operate Powered Industrial Equipment, such as high reach order/cherry picker. Various warehouse fulfillment specialist roles at Ryder support distribution across the US. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year or more previous warehouse experience
  • Ability to Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
  • Manage multiple assignments and tasks, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions and work assignments
  • Recognize and read location, date and product codes
  • Work independently and as a member of a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, division and multiplication) (beginner level)
  • Depending on location may be required to be equipment certified
  • Safety Sensitive Position, Non-Regulated Tech - Depending on location, may be required to operate and be equipment certified
  • Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits
  • Conduct audits of inbound and outbound shipments
  • Participate in physical inventories as necessary
  • Provide floor support to Operation Supervisors and hourly associates regarding inventory issues
  • Resolve inventory discrepancies as needed
  • Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) with emphasis on safety
  • Ensure inventory accuracy to meet client demands
  • Perform other duties as assigned
