About The Position

The Probation Supervisor provides leadership and supervision to probation officers and oversees daily intake, probation, and parole operations to ensure optimum customer service. The supervisor conducts ongoing quality assurance to ensure assessment tools are used faithfully, court reports are accurate, and case management is delivered appropriately. The role also includes coaching and guiding probation officers using strategies intended to improve job performance.

Requirements

• Experience working in the criminal justice system and court proceedings.
• Ability to effectively supervise and performance-manage employees.
• Ability to implement and administer policies, directives, and procedures.
• Considerable knowledge of assessments, case plans, and court reports.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices and principles.
• Ability to conduct quality assurance reviews.
• Considerable experience identifying community resources and services.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• A valid driver's license, or the ability to obtain one by the date of hire.
