About The Position

Join Palmer Law Group in Allen, TX as a full-time Probate and Estate Planning Paralegal to help make a meaningful difference in people's lives during some of their most important and emotional moments. Your work will help bring clarity and peace of mind to clients. The Probate and Estate Planning Paralegal handles the vital clerical and client communication matters that help ensure we can provide effective legal support. Working under the attorney's supervision, you'll accurately draft, review, and organize probate and estate-planning documentation before the established deadlines. You'll manage court filings, hearings, client appointments, and follow-up activities while maintaining accurate digital case files, Mind Maps, and calendars in Clio and Google Drive. Throughout each case, you'll provide comprehensive support to client and deliver timely progress updates. The Probate and Estate Planning Paralegal works with courts, creditors, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and other professionals to help keep cases moving and support timely resolution. We need a meticulous, organized, and results-focused person who can guide clients through sensitive legal matters with professionalism and compassion.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of paralegal experience in probate and estate planning
  • Working knowledge of Texas state probate procedures, estate-planning documents, court filings, and applicable deadlines
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities for effectively managing multiple priorities
  • Attention to detail, proofreading skills, and a commitment to maintaining accuracy and confidentiality
  • Professional communication skills and compassionate mentality
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Ability to pass a background check

Nice To Haves

  • Associate/bachelor's degree, paralegal certification, or equivalent legal work experience
  • Texas notary certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience with or knowledge of Texas probate, estate-planning, and guardianship matters
  • Familiarity with Clio, Google Workspace, e-filing systems, and digital case-management tools

Responsibilities
