The University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication (SOJC) seeks applicants for its open instruction pool in Portland. This pool is for part-time, temporary, limited-duration teaching appointments with the possibility of renewal for up to three years. SOJC Portland is a community of scholars and professionals dedicated to freedom of expression and public service. By integrating theory and practice, they prepare students to become professional communicators, critical thinkers, and responsible citizens in a global society. SOJC Portland's professional master's degrees include Multimedia Storytelling, Strategic Communication, and Immersive Media Communication. They seek instructors with expertise in video/audio production, public relations, and digital and immersive media. Successful candidates will have professional experience related to a field in the School of Journalism and Communication, demonstrated ability of quality teaching, and a commitment to working effectively with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds. Screening of applications will take place as positions become available and will continue until positions are filled. Some courses may have the option to be remote/hybrid depending on programmatic needs and field of study.
