About The Position

The Pro Sales Associate role, also known as Pro Paint Specialist (PPS), is based within a Home Depot store and focuses on meeting the unique needs of professional painting contractors. This position involves building relationships with local pros, understanding their requirements, and providing them with excellent products and exceptional customer service. The associate will collaborate with Behr's outside sales representatives and Home Depot staff to ensure contractors have a positive and efficient experience, similar to visiting a dedicated paint store. The role requires an outgoing personality, basic computer skills for customer relationship management, and the ability to work independently while also being a team player.

Requirements

• Approachable, organized, and genuinely interested in helping customers.
• Basic computer skills for customer management software.
• Outgoing personality with a positive attitude.
• Self-starter attitude.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience or knowledge in paint or sales.
• Prior computer knowledge is a plus.
• Bilingual skills (many professional contractors speak a second language).

Responsibilities

• Meet and form relationships with local professional painting contractors.
• Understand and fulfill the unique needs of professional painting contractors.
• Collaborate with Behr's outside sales representatives and Home Depot staff.
• Provide exceptional customer service to professional clients.
• Pull and tint paint orders for contractor pick-up.
• Enter new leads and contacts into Salesforce (customer relationship management tool).
• Introduce yourself to contractors and get to know their business and needs.
• Maintain relationships with contractors and follow up regarding their jobs and future needs.
• Ensure contractors have the right products and get in and out of the store quickly.
• Maintain a professional and helpful demeanor with Home Depot staff.
