About The Position

This role is for a Pro Paint Specialist working in a Home Depot store, focusing on the unique needs of professional painting contractors. The specialist will build relationships with local pros, introduce them to Behr products, and provide exceptional customer service. This includes collaborating with contractors to identify the right products, mixing paint, gathering necessary tools, and ensuring a quick and efficient checkout experience, aiming to provide a "paint store experience" within the Home Depot environment. The position also involves supporting the Home Depot Pro Desk, introducing oneself to contractors, understanding their business and needs, and following up on their projects. Collaboration with Behr's outside sales representatives and Home Depot staff is essential, including handling customer orders for pickup. Basic computer skills are required for using customer relationship management software like Salesforce, and bilingual abilities are considered a bonus.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Work in a Home Depot store as a sales specialist focusing on professional painting contractors.
  • Meet and form relationships with local pros who rely on Behr.
  • Collaborate with contractors to get exactly the right products for their needs.
  • Mix paint and collect any sundry paint tools they need.
  • Ensure contractors are in and out of the store quickly.
  • Make professional customers feel like they had a paint store experience.
  • Support the Home Depot Pro Desk and introduce yourself to contractors.
  • Get to know contractors, their business, and their needs.
  • Maintain relationships and follow up regarding their jobs and future needs.
  • Work closely with Behr’s outside sales reps and take care of customers when they come into the store.
  • Pull and tint orders for pickup.
  • Work closely with the Home Depot staff.
  • Enter new leads and contacts into Salesforce.
  • Occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
